Service Technician

We’re excited to announce an opening for a Service Technician to join our team at North East Auto Tech! We pride ourselves on offering a busy, supportive work environment where you’ll have opportunities to grow your skills with training packages to stay ahead in the industry.

What you’ll do:

  • Perform high-quality vehicle servicing.
  • Replace tyres and carry out wheel alignments.
  • Replace and service brakes.
  • Handle general suspension repairs.

Working hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM.
  • Includes a 30-minute lunch break and two 15-minute breaks.

Benefits:

  • 28 days of holiday per year (including bank holidays).
  • Time off over Christmas and staggered New Year holidays.
  • Desirable employee benefits offered regularly.

What we’re looking for:

  • NVQ Level 2 qualification (practical, not theory-based).
  • At least 5 years of experience in the trade.
  • Minimum age of 23.
  • Valid driving license held for at least 5 years.
  • Own set of hand tools.

Preferred skills:

  • Gas F certificate.
  • Clean driving license.
  • VAG dealership or independent training experience.

Pay: Competitive package based on your skills and experience.

Diagnostic Technician

We’re looking for a Diagnostic Technician to join our team at North East Auto Tech! This is a key role where you’ll be relied on to handle diagnostics, engine repairs, and hardware/software upgrades, among other tasks. We offer a fast-paced, supportive environment with training packages to help you continue developing your skills.

What you’ll do:

  • Perform diagnostic work to a high standard.
  • Carry out engine and DSG transmission repairs.
  • Handle software updates using manufacturer diagnostics.

Working hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM.
  • Includes a 30-minute lunch break and two 15-minute breaks.

Benefits:

  • 28 days of holiday per year (including bank holidays).
  • Desirable employee benefits offered regularly.

What we’re looking for:

  • NVQ Level 3 qualification (practical, not theory-based).
  • At least 10 years of experience in the trade.
  • Minimum age of 30.
  • Valid driving license held for at least 5 years.
  • Past experience with VAG work, including ODIS and Elsa diagnostic platforms.
  • Own set of hand tools.

Preferred skills:

  • Gas F certificate.
  • Clean driving license.
  • VAG dealership or independent training experience, including ODIS use.

Receptionist

We’re excited to announce an opening for a Receptionist to join our friendly and professional team at North East Auto Tech! We pride ourselves on creating a supportive and busy work environment, where you’ll have the chance to grow in your role and enjoy the satisfaction of being a vital part of a dynamic team.

What you’ll do:

  • Greet customers warmly and professionally as they arrive at the service reception.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and handle customer inquiries efficiently.
  • Schedule vehicle service appointments and manage the booking system.
  • Assist with customer service and provide updates on vehicle servicing and repairs.
  • Ensure a smooth flow of administrative tasks including invoicing, filing, and records management.
  • Coordinate with service technicians and ensure customers are informed about the status of their vehicles.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.

Working hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Includes a 30-minute lunch break and two 15-minute breaks.

  • Computer literacy with experience in office software and booking systems.

Preferred skills:

  • Previous experience in a vehicle repair or service center is a plus.

Vehicle Valeter

We’re excited to announce an opening for a Valeter to join our dedicated team at North East Auto Tech! If you take pride in delivering high-quality vehicle cleaning services and enjoy working in a busy, supportive environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

What you’ll do:

  • Thoroughly clean vehicles, both inside and outside, ensuring a high standard of finish.
  • Clean and polish vehicle interiors, including carpets, seats, and upholstery.
  • Wash and wax vehicle exteriors, including wheels, windows, and mirrors.
  • Vacuum, steam clean, and sanitize vehicle interiors.
  • Ensure vehicles are returned to customers in pristine condition.
  • Maintain cleaning equipment and materials, ensuring everything is in good working order.
  • Support the team with general maintenance and light-duty tasks when required.

Working hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Includes a 30-minute lunch break and two 15-minute breaks.

  • Option to progress to SMART bodywork repairs.

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience in a valeting or vehicle cleaning role is essential.
  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering top-quality results.
  • Ability to work efficiently, both individually and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and time management abilities.
  • A positive and customer-focused attitude.
  • A full driving license is essential.

Preferred skills:

  • Experience with vehicle cleaning products and equipment.
  • Knowledge of interior and exterior detailing techniques.
